Chaired Sessions
We are soliciting talks on the following special topics, and we encourage you to submit presentations that fit these sessions. Please share widely with colleagues.
Regulation of Wisconsin's Water Resources: This session will focus on state and federal regulations that aim to protect, preserve, and improve our water resources. We welcome talks about developing, implementing, and evaluating regulations that affect Wisconsin's waters.
Ethics in Science and Engineering: Have you faced an ethical dilemma in your professional career? Did you observe one that was interesting to you? Do you have advice on how to navigate ethical decisions? Consider an abstract sharing your experience.
Emerging Contaminants and Remediation Technologies: Understanding and awareness of new contaminants harmful to life and the natural environment are constantly evolving. What contaminants have recently come to the forefront? What technological solutions are being developed for monitoring and removal, and what mitigation strategies may be useful?
If you have ideas for other chaired sessions, contact the technical co-chairs for more information (Anna Fehling, [email protected] and Nic Buer, [email protected]).

Student Awards
The AWRA annual meeting is designed to create a student-friendly atmosphere. Students are strongly encouraged to present and discuss Wisconsin-related research in all aspects of water science and policy. To encourage excellence in student oral and poster presentations, up to four awards of $200 will be offered. If you are a graduate or undergraduate student and would like to be considered for an award, please indicate your interest on the abstract submission form. All student presenters are encouraged to participate, as each presenter is provided with constructive comments from our team of oral and poster presentation judges.
