About UsThe Wisconsin Chapter of the American Water Resources Association provides an interdisciplinary forum for people involved in all aspects of water resources research and management. We are a statewide non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

ActivitiesThe primary activity of the Wisconsin Chapter of AWRA is to host an annual meeting, with invited and contributed papers covering a variety of water-related topics. The meeting is typically held in March, and usually begins with lunch on Thursday and ends at noon on Friday. Location varies from year to year. Both oral presentations and posters are encouraged. Student papers are especially welcome.

MembershipMembership in the Wisconsin Chapter of AWRA is automatically extended to anyone who registers for the annual meeting. Dues are nominal and are included in the registration fee. If you wish to be a member of AWRA, but cannot attend the annual meeting, you may send $2.00 to the Treasurer along with your name, address, phone number, and email address. Membership ensures that you will be on the mailing list for future meeting announcements.

AWRA Board
The Board consists of a President, President-Elect, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, two Directors-at-Large, and the Past-President. See Officers page for current board members. Officers are elected at the annual meeting and generally serve for two years. The Vice-President and President-Elect serve for just one year, with the President-Elect succeeding to President and Past-President in subsequent years.
Although these offices require only a minimal time commitment (one or two meetings a year) they are important to the continued health of our organization and to the success of the annual meetings. The Section will also reimburse the President, Vice-President, and Secretary for their membership dues to the National AWRA. Please assist the Section by volunteering to serve!
