Meeting Highlights
The 30th annual meeting of the Wisconsin Section of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA) was held at the Osthoff Resort in Elkhart Lake on March 2 and 3, 2006. We held plenary, oral and poster sessions addressing both surface water and groundwater issues in Wisconsin, as well as a Student Career Session. The complete program is available electronically at the Web sites listed below. We look forward to seeing you next year at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells on March 1 and 2, 2007!

Student Awards Recipients, Jeff Wilcox (UW-Madison) and Veronica Rigo (UW-Milwaukee) with AWRA-WI President Sue Swanson (above).

Jeff's presentation was entitled Investigation of Hormone and Pharmaceutical Transport through Unsaturated and Saturated Sediments using Laboratory Column Experiments. Veronica's presentation was entitled Optical Sensing of Oxygen in Gas and Aqueous Phase.

The meeting also included a luncheon business meeting for the Wisconsin Section of the AWRA, a poster session and social, and an evening banquet.
